USA & Canada Visit - week 4
We headed north from Dayton, via a stopover for a day in Lafayette IN, for our last three stops - and the temperature dropped sharply!
Wauwatosa WI
Just west of Milwaukee, our stop here had some personal links - a former pupil of Clare's and a friend from our time in Chesham, who just happened to end up as friends with each other thousands of miles from home AND who both sing Maynard's songs!
Thursday evening we shared testimonies at the Church prayer meeting, Friday morning Clare spoke at a Women's event, and then Friday evening David and Maynard shared "Jesus the greatest treasure" with kids and families at the church.
We saw our first snow of the trip - Thursday night had about 2", leaving a winter-wonderland look, but not stopping any travel.
Norwich, Ontario (Canada)
Saturday saw our longest day of travel, before our busiest 24 hours (and a bit). First an eight hour drive from Milwaukee to Norwich,
then a testimony event at Norwich Baptist Church on Saturday evennig. Sunday had four events - an all-age service with "Jesus the greatest treasure", a women's outreach, David leading and preaching at the evening service, and then a short event to encourage local children's and youth leaders.
We stayed with a couple from the church, on their "hobby farm" with miniature Jersey cows!
Niagara Falls
... is "on the way" from Norwich to Bowmanville, so we stopped by to enjoy the scenery...
Bowmanville, Ontario (Canada)
was our last stop, and we spent Tuesday morning at St Joseph's school with three events - "Jesus TGT" for about 200 kids, then some songs and craft with a lovely Kindergarten class, and then "From Pilot to Pastor" with a 7-8th grade class.
