USA & Canada Visit - week 1

USA & Canada Visit - week 2

Week two has seen us in Pennsylvania - in two bases (Reading, then Morgantown) with three venues:

First, a centre for children and adults with learning (and other) disabilities - three schools got together, with around 200 children and staff! It turns out they've been singing lots of the songs for quite a while. Their hospitality was wonderful - we were well loved and cared for.

USA & Canada Visit - week 2b

Moving on from Pennsylvania, we travelled SW to Washington DC, to visit Clare's nephew James. Some church friends of his kindly hosted us, so we put on the "Jesus the greatest treasure" show for a group of children and parents in their home. Great actions from the little kids!

USA & Canada Visit - week 3

Week 3 has seen us visiting three places:

Manassas, Virginia
Washington, Pennsylvania
Dayton, Ohio

In this post I'll tell you something about each of those (with a photo or two), tell you about the "session" we do, and mention some sight-seeing we've done too.

We headed north from Dayton, via a stopover for a day in Lafayette IN, for our last three stops - and the temperature dropped sharply!

Travelling home

After Bowmanville, we stopped for a couple of nights in Lake Placid in the Adirondack Mountains for a rest before the flight home.

Trouble is, that coincided with Storm Avery arriving and covering New York State with inches of snow.

On Friday, we left at 7:30am in the middle of the storm after snow had been falling since around midnight. The first hour was on untreated roads out of the Adirondacks...

It was tense driving - I've never concentrated so much and so hard for so long!

After an hour on the back roads, we approached the Interstate with hope...
